AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Seahorses live in shallow water along the coasts of countries right around the world except where the sea becomes too cold. The male seahorse is a wonderful "mother". He keeps the eggs and babies safe in a pouch on his body. Hundreds of babies are born. They are then in danger and few of them live long enough to have babies of their own. (Back cover)
