Notes
-
'In Search of the Big Sleep', the author's account of her search for a cure for insomnia published in The Independent Monthly (September, 1995), inspired the theme of the novel Night by Night. She then realised that the source of the passages on insomnia quoted in the novel could become a book in its own right, and hence Bedlam - An Anthology of Sleepless Nights in Literature was compiled and published.
