AbstractHistoryArchive Description
The northern hairy-nosed wombat, a critically endangered species, is found in one colony in north-west Queensland, Australia, consisting of about sixty-five individuals. Jill Morris tells the history of the species from the point of view of a 25 year old male wombat, with sensitive, colourful illustrations by Sharon Dye. Members of the northern hairy-nosed wombat recovery team have assisted in the development of this important book, produced at a crucial time for the survival of these precious animals.
