Intersections is a refereed electronic journal stemming from Murdoch University's School of Asian Studies. Conceived as an interactive forum for new research and teaching in the area of Gender Studies in the Asian region, it emphasises the paramount importance of research into the region's multiple historical and cultural gender patterns - patterns which are crucial for the understanding of contemporary globalised societies. In this sense the journal crosses disciplinary, cultural and gender boundaries.
