AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Published before Catchfire took its final form and name, this elegant folio poem was listed as from Leading Light Press, a name that seemed to give too pious an impression!

With the poet's own drawings, the song-cycle had won the Mattara Illustrated Poetry Prize in 1998. Sybil Smith's computer-generated birds add an extra, subtle element to the quatrains evoking the life of Lake Macquarie from dawn through to midnight.' (Publication summary)
