In different worlds set 60 years apart, two generations of the Cutler family face their own mortality. The need to come to terms with themselves and their fellow-travellers is a race against time for an Australian solider in a brothel, as Singapore is falling and for his great-grandsons on death-row in Thailand for drug smuggling.
