  • Contains note: 'The Hinchinbrook Shire Council, in an attempt to beautify the town, have erected rockeries on the main street. Opinions differ as to the utility or ornament of the work - some asserting that the stones would be better placed filling holes in outlying roads. D.S. 21.2.1938'
