Author's note: Dear Boys and Girls - and Parents and Teachers, Since we founded the Australian Children's Theatre in 1948 many of you have asked for the words and folk music of the folksongs we sing. Well - here is the first book of them. It has taken us a long time to publish because we've been so busy acting, as well as arranging for other artists to perform for you; but now this first book is done we expect to be quicker with the next one....Joan and Betty.'
