The Escape Artfest is an annual 'celebration of artistic talent in the Southern Shoalhaven showcasing artists of various media and techniques...' The festival began in 1999 and was originally known as the Tabula Rasa Arts Festival. In 2005 annual prizes were introduced including literature and poetry prizes. The festival is sponsored by a variety of organisations and takes place during September and October.
