Ella is finding family life a strain and decides to take a break for a week while her husband and two children go off for a holiday. Unfortunately, her husband Ron has just lost his job and has little patience for dealing with his wife, his children and his own difficult parents. Ella sets out in one direction, while Ron and the children head off elsewhere on their holiday. For both Ella and Ron it turns out to be a journey of self-discovery.
