Works about this Work

[Untitled] 1890 single work column
— Appears in: The Cairns Post , 5 July 1890; (p. 2)
'We have received the first number of The Australian Republican, a fortnightly journal published at Charters Towers. The matter is written with a bold hand, and with an independence that is healthy and refreshing. It is a paper for the people, and there is no doubt they will give it the support it deserves. It is another brick in the bulwark that labour is endeavouring to erect in defence of its rights.'
