AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Collection of poems, prose anecdotes, quotations, aphorism and apothegems from Tyson's daily radio program The Hospital Half Hour which he hosted on ABC radio from 1949. Some of the items are authored by Tyson, others from a variety of unnamed sources. According to his introduction, 'Some of it is, of course, my own -but suffice it to say that as the tide comes in each morning, so has there always been from here and there, a steady stream of the "bits and pieces" I have offerred ... through the microphone.'
