The isssue for 1 April, 1848, was not published. The next issue carried an apology: 'We have to apologise to our subscribers for the non-appearance of our Journal on Saturday last, occasioned by an untoward accident to the press on the afternoon of that day, while the paper was being worked ; a portion of a brick wall above the press fell in and caused considerable injury, which, however, has been ably repaired by Mr. Nairne.' The missing issue is not numbered.
