Sister Clare Carson, bush nurse, has accepted a nine-month position with the Knowles family at Wilga Junction. She has brought her younger sister along, as their parents are dead. The young bush nurse finds herself involved with a ghost mystery, a sheep stealing gang and love in this small goldmining town.
