AbstractHistoryArchive Description
Anderson writes of her childhood as a refugee, arriving with her family in Perth and struggling with feelings of not belonging. As a young adult, working with Aboriginal women in Onslow, she experienced a 'turning point.' She writes: 'I had gained a glimpse of what it was to be me, a Persian-Australian woman, and that it was perfectly okay to belong to two different cultures' (132).
