AbstractHistoryArchive Description
'Mostyn Stayne, by Roderic Quinn, is an entertaining story written in strongly picturesque language, and one that will probably push the author forward a step. There is definite, refreshing originality in the work, and the style is bright and vigorous. The scenes of the story are laid in a past century and deal with the liquoring-up and love-making of the men who ruled the seas and played the devil with the Spanish treasure ships.
'As a story, Mostyn Stayne is good enough, but we venture to think that the author's bold descriptive work and general originality of method will command most attention and secure acknowledgement from the literary world.'
