AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Step into 3 delightful kitchens in a small Queensland town just about anywhere. There's outrage! Old Mr Barry Baxter has just married a woman less than half his age and she can't even bake a cake! This Odessa woman is not from around here! Birdie Crab thinks she's a cheeky strumpet, Cooee Gunn thinks she's nothing but a gold-digger, and Mardi McMaster thinks the girl's had a personality bypass. These three Queensland country women pull on their aprons and take on the task of teaching the new-comer a thing or ten about cakes and Queensland. They bake, they dance, they sing, they share some awful secrets. Straight from the kitchen to you comes a mad baker's comedy full of passionfruit slice, fluffy pumpkin scones and champion fruitcake. Gird your girdles, this one definitely has no fat-free content!' Source: www.tropicsun.com.au/ (Sighted 02/02/2009).
