Notes

  • Author's note: This story is based on an ancient fable from the Holy Land that was originally told to Herr Liebler, a German Missionary, who in turn, was told the story by 'a Arab at Nineveh'. Herr Liebler then told the story to J.E. Hanauer around Easter of 1934. As fables are meant to be timeless examples of morals, or explanations of certain origins, I decided to rewrite it in my own style and possibly for my own means.
