AbstractHistoryArchive Description

At the outbreak of World War I, Franz Mueller is interned in a camp. Franz and the daughter of a local dairy farmer who is of German descent. She helps him escape but he is caught. At their next attempt he is bent on suicide and swims out to the open sea.
