AbstractHistoryArchive Description
'The Dark Side of Midnight is concerned with the themes of racism and fear of change. The action takes place in 1947 on the Northwest Frontier of India on the eve of partition, and in Sussex, England, in 1967. The play is based on letters and journals of [the author's] parent's experiences in India, which were researched and sourced from Cambridge University and the British Library ... during a two week study trip in June 2009.'
