Editor's note : Osmar White (1909-91) was an Australian war correspondent in New Guinea in 1942. In his classic memoir, Green Armour, he wrote of the fatal courage of RAAF pilots who flew bombing raids out of Port Moresby against the Japanese invaders of Rabaul and Gasmata.
