  • The bibliophile, Walter Stone, encouraged Stephensen to write a short memoir for his Talkarra Press. The title of the memoir derived from that of an article Stephensen had written for the Queensland University Magazine in August 1920. (Craig Munro Wild Man of Letters: the Story of P. R. Stephensen (1984): 261).
