AbstractHistoryArchive Description
Captain Invincible is a popular super-hero during World War II. But in the 1950s, he is subjected to McCarthyist persecution on charges ranging from being a Communist (because he wears a red cape) to wearing underwear in public. Disillusioned, he drops out of public view, moves to Australia, and drinks heavily. But when his old nemesis, Mr Midnight, re-emerges, the American government must call on Captain Invincible once again.
