'As an important part of the world's literary criticism pedigree, Australian literary criticism has shown a "rational dominance" delay to the literary theory craze in Europe and the United States since its inception, and has a special liking for "practical criticism". The attitude of openness and diversity, and the appeal of "returning to tradition and literacy" are in sharp contrast to the current "abnormal noise and turmoil in theory". After a hundred years of development, Australian literary criticism has shown the characteristics of "non-orientation, non-original fusion", and the ideology of "self-centered, not following the trend, advocating pluralism" is worth learning from Chinese and even the world literary circles. The diversification of Australian literary criticism over the past century is not only the result of the transformation of its internal power mechanism, but also the result of mutual learning and globalization of Eastern and Western civilizations. This book adopts the methods of macro-narrative chronological social and cultural context, meso-level discussion of literary events, micro-analysis of individual critics’ thoughts, and comparative study of the differences between Australian and British and American literary criticisms, effectively achieving a comprehensive balance between theoretical criticism and practical criticism. Combine point and surface.
'"One Hundred Years of Australian Literary Criticism" aims to systematically comb, analyze and interpret the works of important writers and critics in Australia over the past century on literary creation and literary research, and comprehensively discuss the social consciousness and thoughts contained in Australian literary theory and practical criticism. Viewpoints and aesthetic standards, reveal the nature and characteristics of literary criticism of "no one, no other, non-original hybridization", explore the causes of the evolution of Australian nationalization, internationalization and diversified literary criticism, and study the history of literary criticism for Chinese scholars Provide reference.' 1 Memories and Their Literary Representations : A Comparative Reading of Red Sorghum and True History of the Kelly Gang Peng Qinglong , 2017 single work criticism
— Appears in: Comparative Literature Studies , vol. 54 no. 1 2017; (p. 177-194)

'Mo Yan and Peter Carey are internationally acclaimed writers who have written a number of historical novels. They share many similarities in their characterization and narrative skills as they subvert official narrative memories; however, they differ in their explorations of their respective national psyches. Mo Yan's Red Sorghum and Carey's True History of theKelly Gang represent memories of historical events and figures which depict their bandits, Yu Zhan'ao (Red Sorghum) and Ned Kelly (Kelly Gang), as heroes in dark and turbulent periods. This article suggests that these characters are a reflection of the cruel histories that Chinese and Australian peoples have experienced in fighting against their enemies. Through Mo Yan and Carey's literary representation of memories within the characters of Zhan'ao and Kelly, the aesthetic value of the fiction brings the histories to life.' (Publication abstract)

1 学术史视阈下澳大利亚文学翻译述评(1949-1978) Peng Qinglong , 2014 single work criticism
— Appears in: 中国翻译 , vol. [2014] no. 6 2014; (p. 24-28, 128)

'The rendition of Australian literary works into Chinese has been an integral part of China’s modern-day translation of foreign literatures. As a detailed literature review shows, during the 30 years or so prior to China’s adoption of the "reform and opening up" policy, the Australian literary works translated and studied in the country were small in number, generically unvaried and yet high-quality as far as the translation is concerned. These features could be accounted for by referring to the political and culture conditions then prevailing in China and Australia.'

1 论 “凯利帮”真史 的界面张力 On the Interface Tension in True History of the Kelly Gang Peng Qinglong , 2013 single work criticism
— Appears in: 外语与外语教学 , vol. [2013] no. 1 2013; (p. 83-86)
