BiographyHistory

Beryl Richards grew up in Bunbury, Western Australia. She worked as an English teacher. At the same time, she and her husband operated a small dairy farm on the Blackwood River, south of Nannup. Her poem 'The Fire at Little Bend Farm' is based on an event she experienced in the late 1940s. Richards has written poetry, YA fiction and short stories. In 1994, she was living in Perth and had fourteen grandchildren.
