BiographyHistory

Mary Pandilo, OAM, was born in Pago Mission and grew up in Beagle Bay, Western Australia. During World War II, Pandilo assisted in the construction of the Kalumburu airfield wrote stories in the Kwini/Belnaa language. Pandilo was an Indigenous authority on the Guyon Guyon rock paintings from her area, the Oomarri region of the north Kimberley in Western Australia.
