1 Three Dollars, Six Degrees Tim Clark , 2005 single work criticism
— Appears in: Meanjin , vol. 64 no. 3 2005; (p. 186-191)
Tim Clark explores the way some Australian filmmakers try to avoid emotionally unsatisfying endings to films, because they are wary of alienating audiences. Two films are discussed here: Robert Connolly's cinematic adaptation of Elliot Perlman's novel Three Dollars and Fred Schepisi's adaptation of John Guare's Broardway play, Six Degrees of Separation.
