The Sun God falls in love with a Dragon Princess and comes to Earth to be with her. After he leaves, she lays three eggs. When they are close to hatching, she asks the Crow to take a message to the Sun God and tell him that the children will soon hatch. The Sun God is thrilled, and sends the Crow back with a huge ruby so the Dragon Princess can buy a kingdom. But on his way back, the Crow is swindled out of the ruby.

In a Korean village lives a scholar named Yo. The King summons Yo to work for him, so Yo and his three daughters move close to the palace. When Yo and the King must make a three-year journey to China, Yo's daughters fear they will starve. But Yo leaves them with a magical cat that produces rice in abundance if it is stroked the right way.

A young man helps an injured crane. A short time later, a mysterious young woman arrives at the young man's parents' house. She changes all their lives for the better, but it seems that their happiness cannot last.
