AbstractHistoryArchive Description

This book series crosses disciplinary boundaries in literary criticism, linguistics (theoretical and applied) and creative writing, explores complex and fast changing cultural landscapes and maps out new paths in 'different' territories by means of experimental, multidisciplinary, poetic and artistic studies where cultures of partnership can be developed. Such different approaches contribute to forming a coherent, if multifaceted, whole, for promoting a culture of partnership entails an open and dynamic approach towards those events and systems of human relationship that characterise our contemporary societies. It means fostering processes of reflection and awareness towards present-day forms of social cohesion, the concept of a common good, modalities of cooperation, and the educational importance of shared and common values (publisher website). y separately published work icon The Goddess Awakened : Partnership Studies in Literatures, Language and Education Antonella Riem Natale (editor), Luisa Camaiora Conti (editor), Maria Renata Dolce (editor), Udine : Forum : The University of Udine Press , 2007 Z1546810 2007 anthology criticism This book brings together the proceedings of the International Conference entitled 'The Goddess Awakened: Partnership Studies in Education and World Literatures in English' (University of Udine 19-22 April 2007), which hosted internationally renowned writers and scholars in Education and Language Studies, from Italy, Australia, India, South Africa and the United States of America. It combines partnership epistemological models with postcolonial literary criticism, thus creating methodological connections with non-binary and inter/multi-disciplinary cultural paradigms. Its main focus of attention is on the 'archetypical' sources of texts, especially in relation to stories or 'narrations' related to the Goddess figure, metaphor of a more caring and eco-sustainable vision of life. The book investigates the persistence of the ancient Triune Goddess and of other feminine archetypes, prototypical energy present in our past and present traditions, in two periods regarded as specular and conceptually linked: contemporary literatures in English (Australian, Indian, Canadian, South African, West-Indian) and Renaissance/Late Renaissance British literature. The awakening of the Goddess is also celebrated in the arts: poetry, drama, narrative, dance, and a photographic and sculptural exhibition of the Sacred Feminine, which can be enjoyed both in the book itself and in the two accompanying DVDs (publisher website). y separately published work icon Drops of Light Coalescing : Studies for Maria Teresa Bindella Antonella Riem Natale (editor), Angelo Righetti (editor), Udine : Forum : The University of Udine Press , 2010 Z1729799 2010 anthology criticism essay poetry short story autobiography The writings collected in this book pay homage to the academic credited with relevant studies on canonical authors like Scott, Hardy and Stevenson, and to the explorer who ventured into the new waters of colonial and post-colonial literatures in English, as well as to the teacher who, wanting to give her students first-hand experience of this subject, convened conferences and organized meetings with writers and critics from Australia, Africa, the Caribbean, the South Pacific. The volume contains papers in English and Italian touching on her academic fields of interest or covering interrelated research areas, and creative pieces or short memoirs by writers and colleagues (Italian and international), friends, former students – all of whom have had the opportunity and pleasure of appreciating Maria Teresa Bindella’s contribution in her various capacities over the years (publisher website). y separately published work icon Partnership Id-Entities : Cultural and Literary Re-Insciption/s of the Feminine Antonella Riem Natale (editor), Luisa Camaiora Conti (editor), Maria Renata Dolce (editor), Stefano Mercanti (editor), Udine : Forum : The University of Udine Press , 2010 Z1796097 2010 anthology criticism 'The essays in this volume examine the implications of 'equalitarian' and 'dominator' modes of living within a series of canonical, traditional and indigenous texts and narratives. They analyse the concept of Id-Entities from a range of perspectives, through the contributions of writers, scholars and researchers in various disciplines - literature, applied linguistics, education and language teaching - and give evidence of 'other' possible patterns of construction of the self and forms of coexistence generated by non-hierarchical relational processes. The title, Partnership Id-Entities, signals the discursive grounds for exploring intercultural relationships within an equalitarian and mutual paradigm and points to the need of a more profound awareness of transnational dialogue and modalities of cooperation based on a common ground of shared values in world cultural traditions' (Source: Publisher website).
